Jogja is a great place to take photos - and to learn some photography

PhotoWalks Jogja takes you to fascinating places in Yogyakarta and helps you to develop your photography skills while hunting for exciting themes and topics.

You can learn about how to make better travel photos, street photos, portraits while discovering a lot about Javanese culture. We can talk about basic settings of your camera, about managing light and about more advanced features of your camera and lens. We surely talk about composition, the elements of photographs and about some basic rules of aesthetics, which we can then consciously break as an experiment. During the tour our professional photographer supports you and shows you the know-hows of taking special pictures. After the two-hour walking tour we analyze and edit the pictures together on screen. You get your best photographs printed on high quality paper in format 6R (A5) on the same day.

Today's Photo Walk

We had a wonderful day today walking along the River Code in the middle of the Jogja, yet hidden like in a small village. We practiced portrait photography and street photography, discussed the camera settings for the wished results and elements of composition. We also met some very kind people.

These two older women patiently and naturally posed for all three participants of the tour.
We felt really thankful for the kindness of all the people we met today in this exiting part of the city.
